TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT:

ROLE
We are looking for an organised, dynamic, self-driven and results-oriented Business Development and Sound Manager to join our team and support the work of our increasingly busy and growing Hire and Production departments. You will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude alongside a natural desire to achieve.
You will be an excellent communicator and able to work well under pressure. It is important that you bring proven experience in live events technical production management or related role with a strong knowledge of sound, staging, lighting, temporary power, and rigging used at concerts and events. You will be part of a supportive, fast paced and growing environment, where fresh ideas are valued and encouraged.
You will report directly to the Managing Director and work alongside our Warehouse Team.
You will be the first point of contact for enquiries, facilitating the expert discussion with clients and further delivering the brief to the team to achieve the desired results. You will be equally based at our warehouse in Bristol and working on site at a wide variety of events and jobs. Event industry can mean long hours, with early starts, late evenings and sometimes working at the weekends so a positive, good, humoured attitude is essential alongside a passion for and dedication to the industry. The job will also require manual handling with heavy lifting as well as customer facing activities, so you must reflect our high standards and hardworking ethos throughout.
You will be expected to manage the team to prepare and set-up technical equipment for such events. You will have excellent knowledge of the equipment used and skills needed to store, pick, maintain, transport and build components into functioning systems as well as operate those. Outside the event environment, you will be responsible for the control, servicing, repair and storage of complex technical equipment. In any context working safely and ethically is paramount and many projects are carried out in fast moving, dynamic workplaces.
In this busy and pivotal role to King Sound, you will be in charge of our Back office which makes up the backbone of a business. Back office job is versatile but it is very important as without them the business would not be able to function properly. The front office relies on the support and resources provided by the back office to continue to perform their jobs. If the front office cannot serve clients or has no products to sell then the business will no longer make money and will fail. The back and front office are deeply integrated with one another and the success of the business. Both front and back office must work together in equilibrium for the business to survive and succeed.
you will also develop and implement dry hire and and production strategies to meet customer demands while minimising costs and maximising efficiency. The position requires a highly focused and effective business development professional to meet and exceed specific performance targets. Not only you will be an ambassador of our brand and our culture but to also lead on setting high standards so you need to have a natural desire to achieve and support others to deliver to these too.
