King Sound hosts 3 Day L-Acoustics Training Seminar

We are pleased to report that King Sound has once again hosted an L-Acoustics training seminar. The sold out event took place at our Bristol headquarters and was a great success!

The L-Acoustics product line use some of the most advanced methodologies and tools for sound design in the industry. Their training program is an essential step for any technician or engineer wishing to work with the brand’s systems. 

The program of training consisted of 3 days with Day 1 concentrating on system fundamentals shared by all the L-Acoustics systems and particularly focusing on two distinct modules — Amplified Controllers and SOUNDVISION basics. Also covered were Network manager, technology and an overview of the product line. Attendance of this day enables access to further system modules.

Day 2 and 3 were ‘K System' days. These system-specific modules are dedicated to L-Acoustics variable curvature WST systems: K1, K2,  KARA and KIVA II. Each module outlines system design principles and provides detailed technical and operational insights. Our training included Kara and K2 modules. Attendance of the ‘K’ modules demonstrates the ability to operate K systems as a L-Acoustics System Technician.

Participants learned to identify the elements of a K system and understand how they complement one another. Next step was a practical workshop preparing and installing a K system so that it is ready for operation. Finally, listening tests took place,  the day ending a demonstration of cardiod sub arrays.

The atmosphere at the event was very relaxed with our enthusiastic trainer Chris Vass keeping audience equally engaged and challenged. A simple but delicious buffet was provided for lunch which proved a welcome break and gave an opportunity to communicate with other participants and make some useful connections.
