The Colston Hall, being the biggest venue in Bristol, has been a regular haunt of ours for over 20 years. We have provided sound and crew for countless artists coming through the city. The venue closes in June for a complete 2 year rebuild that will see the entire building gutted and remodelled. As last night's gig with Ezra Furman marked our last show in this legendary venue we thought we'd take a few snaps to commemorate the occasion. Colston's load-in is terrible, the back stage areas look like a prison camp and place is falling apart, but the staff have always been great to us and we're going to miss this place...

Nutcracker Christmas parties at Grand Pier, Weston Super Mare

Christmas party time at Weston’s Grand Pier. We are busy supplying full technical production for this month long run. With a capacity to entertain up to 600 guests per night, the pier makes a great Party venue. Kit on the job includes L-Acoustics ARCS, SB18s and a beautifully warm, old school lighting rig consisting of many PAR cans and ACLs along along with some more contemporary moving head fixtures.

Having recently invested in two DiGiCo SD12 touring consoles for our rental stock, we thought it was a good idea to invite DiGiCo along to get us up to speed on all the advanced features these powerful consoles have to offer. The training took place at the King Sound warehouse so we could train with our own consoles and also have other our equipment at hand, if required.

The SD12's have been fitted with Optics Cards for use with DiGiCo's SD Racks. We also have Waves cards available for hire with the consoles and can supply with a complete waves touring package.”

Many thanks to Crosstown Concerts for another fantastic week at Lloyds Ampitheatre. The eclectic line up included Benobo, Manic Street Preachers, Craig David, British Sea Power and the wonderful Bristol Sounds - Haçienda Classical. We did sound and provided many crew - who helped 'grease the wheels' in many areas of production and who's duties included a particularly arduous overnight stage build for Hacienda.
